Galaxy AHi! As for your concern, we highly advise for you to regularly check on your device's settings about updates and turn on "auto-update over wi-fi" should there be such settings on SOFTWARE UPDATE tab on your phone settings. Missing an update, whether on firmware version or security patch may bring unwanted bugs/glitches which in turn will affect your phone's performance and/or damage your unit in the long run.
Here's a link as to how to regularly update your device via OTA/KIES/SAMSUNG SMART SWITCH

Hope this helps! Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you. Stay safe! Enjoy the weekend. 😀

Galaxy AUpdates before will most certainly be installed. You may observe it once the notifications for updates come more frequently. To be extra sure, you may head on to your nearest service center to have a check if your device is patched with the latest softwares/patches.
Or let us suggest you to install the Samsung Smart Switch on your laptop/PC for a more faster update receiving, compared to OTA updates. :)
