Music track selection

Hi

I have just purchased an A52 Samsung. While trying to select tracks on the Samsung Music app, the app rejects the track I am selecting and seems to fast forward through a number of tracks and plays a random track. At the same time an error message comes up saying "Failed to play track". I had no such problem with my S8 that I previously used. Can anyone help?  Thanks.

I have tried uninstalling the app and restarting with no success, I think there may be an issue with device. Thank you again for your assistance.

Hi @Tracks, based on what you're describing, this may be due to the format of your music files. I suggest checking the files to ensure they are mp3 or m4a, if not, you will need to convert them. 

If they are still mp3 and m4a, and you still have the original files from when you sourced your music e.g a folder on your PC, you can try deleting the problem files from your phone, and transferring the original files back into your phone.

Hi, is there going to be an update to correct this? I love Samsung Music, but I'd rather not convert 100s of files when they work perfectly fine elsewhere.
