Has anyone that have Samsung Galaxy A phonesfrom 2020 updated to the ONE UI 3.1 and Android 11 update? If you have, do you notice your battery draining faster than before? Let me share with you my experience.

It's almost a month after I updated my phone to the ONE UI 3.1 and Android 11 update. The update says that apps will run faster while using less battery power. Though the apps I use s much faster now, it's still taking up more power than before. I have two friends that have 2020 Samsung devices and have updated them to the ONE UI 3.1 and Android 11 update, they also have the same problem after almost a month after updating. I don't know if it's my phone or Samsung made a mistake in this update.

In all, my opinion is that Samsung did not do a great job in optimising the battery usage for the update. I love the update, it's natural, easy to use and feels new but I will need more battery to enjoy the update more right?

A Series is one of the best series...I had used 2 model of A Series before

'Faster performance' 'better battery life' usually only happens on flagship devices. Samsung make A series slower so users are pressured to upgrade their phones to the flagships

For me , battery life is pretty much the same , around 7h of SoC which is standard and mainly bc i don't play any games. However , I also want to mention longer app loading time , animation bugs , screen navigation bugs , warmer feeling phone , slower fingerprint , etc which makes the phone overall feels slower than before. But it's great to see Android 11 coming , although this is the final OS upgrade for mine.

Try closing your apps after using them. Apps that we don't close take up power and RAM in the background. And when a lot of RAM is used, the phone will tend to slow down. Also, try using this widget to make it easier to clear RAM.

Step 1: Touch and hold an empty part of the home screen.

Step 2: Click widgets

Step 3: Find "Device care"

Step 4: There are two options. You can choose any one of them.

If you want to clear RAM, just click on the button that I circled on the screenshot. Screenshot_20210619-162242_One UI Home.jpgScreenshot_20210619-162400_One UI Home.jpgScreenshot_20210619-162223_One UI Home.jpg

iknow all these lul
i even have SD maid pro which can clear apps cache better than google files do, and since there's no way we can clear cache unless we do it one by one through all the apps, which is tiresome.
