Hi!

I have been using the A series since 2023 and recently bought a tablet last February.

I'm just wondering why One UI 7 update does not rollout to ALL devices at least at the same day. I get it that they have so many lineups that should be catered individually. However, they can just release the update on the same day, regardless of the device, and ensuring that all devices get their own versions (like with or without AI features depending on the hardware support).

For example, they can just release the major update on all S series and A series supported on the said update today, while ensuring that the higher lineup receive the advance feature. What is taking them so long that they opt to release it per model and pre region? So irrational and inefficient.

Maybe some of you will say I should jsut get the latest one if I wanted the OS update as fast as I can, but that is such a narrow point of view. Samsung phones cost a lot of dollars because of their UI, and we all are paying for it.

In this recent update, we even got the Android 15 a year late than its global release to pther android phones. Too many features that has been delayed and yet some of you will just say, "just wait." NO, we paid for the phone and its service.

Why can Apple release IOS update on all their devices in the same day? Even though they have different versions and lineups? It's such a pity that we have to settle for less and gaslight each other, when we should be calling out for Samsung blatantly exploiting their users?

To the point that they would take a whole week to release for those 5g vs 4g and 4g vs Wi-Fi only units? 😂 Funny.

If you're in charge in this situation, can you do it?

Sadly, I'm not in charge. 😂 But yes, do go on in gaslighting others that it's okay to be exploited this much.

I want to be clear that I'm not attempting to gaslight anyone. My question was genuinely aimed at understanding what concrete actions you believe could be taken if someone were in a position to address this issue of exploitation you're highlighting. Can we discuss specific solutions or mechanisms to prevent this 'exploitation' from happening?

Not a part of their team and NO PUBLIC DISCLOSURE regarding how they update their OS, so how can I propose a plan/strategy to solve this? If other companies can do it, why can't Samsung? That's why I am posting my concern here so that they could be aware and address the issue. Sadly, this complain has been going around since last month yet Samsung is still quiet. They can release statement with NO PROMISES just to ease their users' frustration, but nothing is happening. Even if I do go on yapping here, it'll all be nothing.

I appreciate you clarifying your position and acknowledging the significant barriers to proposing a detailed technical solution. You've hit on a crucial point: it's incredibly difficult for external users, even those passionate about technology, to dissect and prescribe fixes for a complex operating system update process without internal data, code access, or an understanding of a company's specific infrastructure and priorities. Your point about 'NO PUBLIC DISCLOSURE' is entirely valid in that context.

And yes, I'm not a tech person. I only know tech at its surface—like most common users are. But I do believe they have the solution, and I hope they can implement that on One UI 8.

My initial question, "If you're in charge in this situation, can you do it?", wasn't meant to imply you should be able to blueprint Samsung's next OS update strategy. Rather, it was aimed at understanding what qualitative outcomes you envision, or what specific principles you believe Samsung should adhere to. Since you rightly point out that you're not an insider and don't have the technical specifics, let's pivot the discussion slightly.

Not to mention how they exclude Philippines and other countries for beta testing. Oh, maybe because they have so many lineup? 😂
