My problem is Samsung. At Sydney Olympic Park mobile centre who will Not reply to emails sent Members Samsung. Their r&d team have had my date errors details for over 5 weeks and no answer. The phone has been fully factory reset and assessed. But still had call drop outs. Your 1300 support numbers are useless. I just want to be able to TALK TO A HUMAN

I just Googled Samsung, Olympic Park. It shows as temporarily closed. Most of these centres are separate businesses and sometimes terminate their agency agreement or close down completely. Samsung then has to find a replacement business in that area or decide never to reopen. We have had the same situation in Canberra/Queanbeyan with no replacement yet https://www.samsung.com/au/support/service-centre/ If choosing from the list I tend to choose Tecworks. Of course I could be wrong as a different web link still shows them but the link above doesn't.

If you have a 5G phone try setting to 4G temporarily to see if that fixes the problem. If so the likely culprit is the APN setting. If you are with Telstra the 5G settings can be found here https://www.5gapn.com/au/en/telstra To change or check these go to Settings, Access Point Names, note on paper your current settings in case you want to revert. Note that entering new settings needs to be 100% correct e.g. upper, lower case and spacing. As a separate issue entirely have wi-fi calling enabled, search for it under settings https://www.telstra.com.au/support/mobiles-devices/telstra-wifi-calling

I don't think I can comment further but note that knowing the phone model and precise plan does affect my advice. There are two areas likely to be the problem. First, phone settings, particularly APN and and network connection and, second,, network connection in terms of reception and coverage. For the latter install "Aus Phone Towers" and note there is a pullout menu on the left side which allows you to select many different settings e.g.. 3G, 4G, or 5G, particular providers coverage, etc. Optus does provide wi-fi calling but, as with the others, Boost, Telstra, Voodafone (not resellers) it is also dependent on phone model and, as you indicate, might be different for different Optus plans, although unlikely. Hi @hooty, I have followed up with our Samsung Members team, and they had advised you to book your device in for an assessment, this would be the next best step to having your issue resolved. Please ensure to provide us with your service reference number via email or on social media with us once booked in, and we'll share this with the relevant departments to ensure this is resolved as soon as possible.
