Hi there! Does anyone experiencing false battery reading/percentage (rarely) on your Galaxy devices?

For example;

I left my phone at 55% of battery or whatever percentage is currently at. Then I came back after a couple of minutes and I noticed it drops by 2 or 3% without knowing what happend.

** All of my wireless connection and location is turned-off (except Auto Sync). I only have few apps installed and every recent activity are closed. **

This shouldn't happen if your battery doesn't have any problem.

When did you start experiencing this?

We had quite a number of complaints with how the battery is acting after updating to One UI 2.0

I for one experienced a battery drain of 10 to 15% with a full charged before a full day of sleeping and not using my phone.

Maybe second or third month after I bought my device when I started to notice the behaviour (still Android 9 at that time). It rarely happens. Just curious how it behaves.

You should've reached out to a service center. Hopefully your phone is still covered by the 1 year warranty.

You can try reaching a technical support through a Live Chat and get help + recommendation.

Maybe the battery itself was defected.

Try to calibrate your phone's battery. Maybe it helps but I'm not sure.

Did you mean defective? I think it's not, I just bought my phone last December 2019 and until today It can last long up to two days with 80 to 100% charge with light to moderate use. 😄

In fact, it's not a big deal for me... It rarely happens. I'm just curious how my device or battery behaves.

I have what I suspect is a faulty battery and false charge rating on a 18 month old A10.

The phone when plugged into a samsung charger reads 79%, but immediately turns off when unplugged.  If I try to turn it on while plugged in, it continually reboots.  I tried a factor reset and still the same issue.

When I left the phone to charge on a high power charge, at around 83% it will start and boot correctly, but once the charge drops to around 79%, the phone just shuts off.
