Galaxy A11 has worked perfectly since bought - week ago was using, set it down, picked it up and was completely 'dead'.  Put in on charger but no good.  Have had to three mobile phone techs yesterday, they ran diagnostics and it's not battery, not charge port, not screen.

Desperate to recover photos, contacts, whatsapp conversations etc etc - any ideas?  Is this possible from a phone that is 100% 'dead'?

Sounds like a hard drive failure subject to others' comments. If this is the problem it is best treated by a professional without amateur attempts that might damage memory further. So Googling hard drive recovery and possibly narrowingbit down to Samsung would be best. Of course, it could be simple, like an electrical connectoon. Costly.

Thank you for that - yes I imagine it would be costly however may explore your suggestion and try and get a quote.

Hey @jolcameron

Based on what you've described, I recommend for you to head into your nearest authorised service centre with your proof of purchase so that we can take a closer look into this. Please be aware that due to our Privacy Policy, your device may be factory reset before being assessed. I highly recommend backing up your device via Smart Switch, OneDrive and/or Google to ensure none of your data is lost.

For more information on how to back up your device: https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/back-up-samsung-device/

To book an appointment prior to heading in-store or to drop off your device via Australia Post: https://www.samsung.com/au/support/your-service/main

Kind Regards,

Thanks Claudette - I can't backup anything, the phone won't charge, turn on or anything - just completely 'dead'.

I have bought a new Samsung phone yesterday however devastated to lost conversation threads/photos/contacts etc.
