I've had my A14 for nearly a year. We upgraded to 5G sbd just lately my phone connects to the WIFI without the internet. I've tried everything with the modem & Optus say everything from their end looks good.
Yet my phone connects successfully to other WIFIs & other people's phones connect to my WIFI with internet.

I suggest you to reset WiFi settings and also reset network settings.
Open the settings app and from the search magnifying 🔍 which should be on top right, search for reset WiFi then search for reset network

Make sure you have the passwords because you need to enter them again after resetting.

Did you buy it from one of the following:
Samsung, Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Amazon, Officeworks, Bing Lee, Woolworths, David Jones, Myer, Costco, BIG W, Target, Radio Rentals, RT Edwards, Retravision, Betta and Australia Post
If another Australian retailer or on-line store, please advive.
Do you have Voice Calling on as this might explain why you can still make calls?
The connection to the tower is managed by a protocol called APN - Access Point Name
To find the settings in your phone go to Settings and search for this in full, i.e. not just APN. Write settings down in full on paper 100% accurate including spaces,
in case you need to reenter them. Now Google "optus apn settings". Compare them. You will need to choose the right web one and correct/ create new one.
Have a look at the following

You can also try powering off/on your router. Occasionally there's a problem when the router assigns a DNS/IP address and another device was assigned to it and having both trying to connect makes the internet unreliable. Power cycling should solve that

It sounds like you’re experiencing a common issue where your device is connected to the router but not to the internet.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Restart Your Router: Sometimes, simply restarting your router can resolve connectivity issues. Unplug it, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
Check for ISP Outages: Verify if there’s an outage with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) that might be affecting your connection.
Flush DNS Cache: On your device, open the command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns to clear the DNS cache. This can sometimes fix connectivity issues.
Check Router Settings: Ensure that your router’s settings are correct and that it’s not blocking your device from accessing the internet.
Update Router Firmware: If you haven’t updated your router’s firmware recently, doing so might fix the issue. Check the manufacturer’s website for the latest firmware version.
Parental Control: make sure the device has not been allocated to Parental control lockout. This will prevent internet usage.
Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your router. This will erase all settings and restore it to its default state.
Thank you.
