Samsung Galaxy A05 Freezing Randomly

Hi everyone. I bought my Samsung A05 in March and have been really careful with it. I've never dropped it or subjected it to any physical damage. Everything was running smoothly until a few days ago when my phone started freezing randomly. It becomes unresponsive to touch inputs, and the only way to get it working again is to turn the phone off and turn it back on. 

My last software update was on July 25, so I'm wondering if this problem might be linked to that update.

Has anyone else with an A05 experienced similar issues? Any suggestions or solutions to fix this would be greatly appreciated! TYIA

Hi. I have an A04 and an A05 (3 and 4GB memory respectively) that were fine to start with, but now are freezing randomly. They have both had upgrades to Android 14. Seems there is a major problem running the upgraded op system! Looks like there may be issue with interrupt priorities and memory management, which combine to make life  miserable for the user. Closing background apps and reducing processor workload by turning off screen effects can help a little, but the issue still lurks in the wings. Maybe the next upgrade will fix this????

Hello, having the same issue here and frankly it started to be frustrating, even to write this comment it freezed three times. Dispointed in samsung devices , as an old customer (never bought a device other than samsung) never buying one again.

Yes I am experiencing exactly what you're going through . Thought it was storage problems but had my storage cleared multiple times but it kept freezing. It could be either a hardware problem or the software upgrade I did not long ago.

I have bought A05 four units to our company and all four units have this freezing issue...I have tried updating the software, factory reset. But still the issue is same..

Hi guys,

For the price of this phone (bought 5,000 pesos in Philippines) it is not worth sueing Samsung; when a car or an engine ois repeatedly faulty, a group legal action is envisageable, like with the Peugeot Puretech engines or the killer Takata airbags ..... but for a < $100 smartphone (which is not smart at all) , what can we do ? We were victims of the workdwide fame of Samsung. They do not care about us, they despuse us. What they are interested in is the big money from the folds, S series, tablets etc ....

Like others said, ..Me too...Îll never buy Samsung again.
