Smart Switch not working on Galaxy Tab A8

I logged in to my Samsung account using the QR code and it connected everything but I cannot use Smart Switch to sync the rest of my details to the Galaxy Tab which was reset. 

In the settings I can see my Samsung account and my profile details but when I open Smart Switch it says Smart Switch cannot be opened in guest mode.

What does this mean and why is it so annoying?

Also on the topic of accounts how do I sign into Google because I have a strong password and frankly I would not be able to type it in using a keyboard. I cannot find any way to log in other than it is asking me to type in a 50 character password of symbols using an on-screen keyboard that is just ridiculous. Do I have to change my password to ABC123 so I can sign on to a new device?

If you've got a large amount of data having trouble backing up or restoring a device by the cloud I'd recommend just doing it to local storage like a portable hard drive or plug in a USB thumb drive into each phone.
It's much faster
