I have tried to look into ways how to fix this yet there are still no updates nor permanent ways on how to fix such issue. The names and other highlights on my facebook notifications are not bold, the unread messages on messenger is also not bold. It is hard to determine which is which. Only the default font works well and it is a bummer.

The past articles and posts about this already have surfaced since last year. I hope there is going to be a fix around this issue : (

Hi there, stshi! It seems that some downloaded fonts make the non-bold and bold characters look the same. I know this is a bummer, but for now, leaving your phone's font to default would be the best fix. ☹️

Even samsung's fonts also make non-bold and bold characters look the same. I hope it will get fixed as soon as possible.
