Hello.

Planning to help my sister buy a phone this June and cannot decide between which A series phone to get.

Which is better between those out in the market today? Noticed that they almost have similar specs and prices (PHP) so cannot decide.

Or if you wanted the latest, you can have a56, but if you have small amount of cash. I suggest A36 or A35. They're all the same but diff chipsets

depending on your needs

so if you care microSD, so it's either A35 or A26
if you care eSIM then A36 or A56

if you still need headphone jack then it's A25 (i know it's not your option, but if you care headphone jack, this one is good, A25 still have AOD, and A25 also have both microSD slot and stereo speaker)

performance wise (from best to worst):
A56
A36
A35=A26 (they share same SoC), but A26 doesn't have AOD support, A26 doesn't have stereo speaker, so mind you if you pick A26 you will only get a single speraker

A56 mostly for camera, but don't expect much, A56 still A series phone in the end

While the A-series phones share similar designs and some common features, the Galaxy A55 generally delivers a more robust experience. It typically comes with a more powerful processor (Exynos 1480 vs. Exynos 1380 in the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A26, or Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in the Galaxy A36), resulting in smoother performance for daily tasks and even light gaming. The Galaxy A55 also often features a better ultrawide camera and a higher-resolution front camera, which can noticeably improve photo and video quality.

In terms of design, the Galaxy A55 takes a clear lead. Unlike the plastic frames used in the Galaxy A35, A36, and A26, the Galaxy A55 features a solid metal frame paired with a Gorilla Glass back, giving it a noticeably more premium and durable feel.

The Galaxy A35 and A36 are solid mid-range options, but the Galaxy A55 edges them out in overall performance, camera capabilities, and build quality, making it a better long-term investment. The Galaxy A26 is more budget-friendly, but it comes with greater compromises in materials, performance, and camera compared to the Galaxy A55.

Overall, the Galaxy A55 stands out as the best-rounded choice in the A-series lineup, offering superior performance, better cameras, a more premium design, and greater long-term value.

I'd say it depends on your budget.

But as a part of my regret of buying an "A" series, I should've gotten the S23 FE or S24 FE coz they're semi-flagship with full suite of Galaxy AI. Yet the price would start at P27K

But, if they're not affordable enough for you.
You may settle with A56 or A36, the latest of the "A" series. Where price starts at P19K
