Galaxy AI tried using the swipe gestures before, with the side-and-bottom swipe layout, and immediately missed the "more sensible" button layout. Thankfully One UI 6 offers two options for swipe gestures, and I've been using the swipe from bottom option, where each swipe bar represents the old navigation bar options. Much more sensible for me, and also gives me a bit of extra screen space!
