I can't understand why the Gallery app Photo Editor doesn't have:
1. the same Smart Crop function that the Screenshot function has
Screen Recording of how the Smart Crop function works (when taking a Screenshot)
2. the same Border function that the Create Collage function has
nb: there's no workaround by adding a border to one image using Create / Collage given that, logically, you can't save a collage containing only one image or video.
screen recording of Create / Collage that demonstrates using the Border function, and that (as is logical) you can't save a collage containing only one image or video.
imo, both of these functions are just as warranted in Photo Editor as they are in the examples I've provided, especially given image editing apps traditionally contain the full suite of image editing functionality offered by a platform.
if anyone has any suggestions as to a workaround, I'd appreciate knowing. also as I'm new here I'm not sure what the most effective way is to communicate my feedback to Samsung about an issue like this, so any advice would be appreciated🙏

Thanks for replying
I’m new to this forum and I certainly don’t wish to seem ungrateful or offend anyone... but I honestly thought it would’ve been patently obvious that:
(a) I’m not some random tech-illiterate noob who needs rookie advice like “search for ‘best Android photo editing apps’ on Play Store / Google”
AND
(b) the Context of Use outlined is clearly the *Galaxy platform* and the cross functionality of features within its NATIVE apps
tl/dr:
- not a SME but I’m a tech-savvy professional who solves these types of problems all day every day
- I’m venting bc imo this issue shouldn’t even exist i.e. Galaxy DevOps aren’t being proactive enough
- I’m unfamiliar with the most effective way/s to lobby this provider (Samsung) into action so I'm asking for that “level” of advice

Frankly ÿou sound entitled and agressive. Why should anyone assume that a request for help comes from an experienced person, experienced in other fields but indicating not in the area where they are asking for help.. Also, like anything equivalent to a help desk resolution starts at a low level, includes the assumption that requestors often don't try the basics even when they say they have.
Claiming you are new here and asking for help and then attacking the response is so inappropriate.
This is a MEMBER forum with wide areas of expertise. I would rather you don't put off other members offering help. Just, on the main Community page, bottom right, click on Support and choose the support option most suited to your needs.
I didn't reply on what is the best way to give feedback to Samsung, well there is a feedback option on the Support page. It is probably geared more to technical issues but it is an option. Given that Australia is a small market and there are many thousands/hundreds of thousands users world-wide who have the same issue, hen a subission from an individual complainant has about the same impact as one rain drop landing in a swimming pool. But go for it
