Not true, but it does depend on the goals right? If I am looking for that super sharp Mirrorless quality, I get what you mean, but for general usage, trying to spot some text from long way away, etc. It's pretty amazing...

Hey @ThisisRossco, for optimum image quality I suggest using the default (3:4 ratio) 3x and 10x optical zoom. 

Other zoom levels will be a digital zoom which crop and enlarge the image.
