I have a Galaxy Note 10 purchase 12 months ago (10 mths at time of warranty issue) which the gps stopped working intermittently around 8 months old. I went back to the retailer JB Hi-FI  and we went through all the suggested trouble shooting (even downloading applications to trial) the resolution was that there was an issue with the phone and we would need to send it in for repair.
I'm a small business owner and as we all know reliant on my phone for calls etc so I was left with no option other than to purchase another phone to use in the meantime.

Spent the usual hours to swap over the info and resign into and setup all the apps etc.

1. phone in for repair (returned no fault found)

2. Returned for repair second time, no contact from anyone. I followed up after 20 days with the retailer. Text and email recieved from Smamsung finally with a case.

"no fault found" Case Closed by Smasung and phone returned. I responded to Samsung's email and still waiting weeks later for a reply

3. Retailer said they couldnt do anything else I had to contact the repairer.

4. Contacted the repairer they dont want to know me and cant do anything without Smasung's approval.

5. Lodged a complaint with the retailer online, no response after 2 days (attached screenshots of teh fault on numerous occassions.

6. Rang the retailer as they havent contacted me "they may get back to me" Manager unavailabe

To sum up this has been ongoing for over 2 months since teh phone first went in

  • Samsung CASE CLOSED
  • Repairer CANT AUTHORISE ANYTHING
  • Retailer MY PROBLEM

So I ask why do we have a warranty when BIG Business can do what they want anyway. How is this fair no matter who or what you are?

I'm very sorry about the service you have received, Watcra. We did not meet your—or our own—expectations.

I would first recommend sending an error report through Samsung Members in regards to the GPS issue you're having with your Note 10, so that our team can take a look at the issue remotely. To do this, follow the instructions here: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/news-tips/sending-error-reports/m-p/9617204

Then, please send us an email so that I can take a look into this for you.

Again, I apologise for the experience you have had so far.
