Galaxy NoteI've been a fan of Dark mode since it's been made available as an option (even in my computer settings). Paired with adaptive brightness, I think it's the best setting especially for an eyeglass-wearer like myself and helps a lot to lessen my eye strain. I don't force all apps to use dark mode though, but if it's an option I will turn it on for that app.
I haven't tried using the eye comfort shield yet - for those who did how do you find it?
What's your favorite mode?

If I use eye comfort, I would have to customize it to turn on gradually after 5am. Yes, I'm a vampire and sleep during the day. No I'm not kidding. 🤣

Oh yes this is a good way to save battery life indeed! I've turned off notifications for most of the apps I have especially socmed apps, so I barely notice the difference nowadays but good point in getting the dark mode buy-in!

Omg, is this my time to shine? Kidding. Here's my two cents tho;
So I am a self-proclaimed avid user of the Eye Comfort Shield ever since I had my first phone back in 2017 I guess (I was gifted another brand back then but they have the feature too). And I still continued using it throughout my 2nd phone and this 3rd, even in my laptop—why? I think once you get the hang of it, it will never be the same once you turn it off. And besides I did notice the lessening in eye strain, and less headaches.
I have 20/20 vision (as per EO, I also got anti-blue light lens for my specs but I only use it at work or on study) but it really helps in my overall eye "health" and mood. As a small artist, I think it's innate that I value vibrancy, color quality and aesthetic. And the ECS provides that by having this warm-colored screen (ah, I don't know how to word it except that, we call it screen mode when you apply a layer of opaque-transparent color over something to provide foreground of color) over my phone's actual screen temperature which is rich in cold hues originally. So when I look at pictures on Instagram or take pictures and look at at in my Gallery, or watch videos in YouTube and binge watch on Netflix, everything is vibrant, as if like I'm on theater mode every time. Nothing is dull in "life", haha. It makes everything cohesive in terms of aesthetic and hue.
However, I must also say the downside of it. If you're a content creator, or an artist or basically someone that does something on their phone and that thing is meant to be shared—you have to turn of the ECS while making it. Or else, you will find the video you edited, or a picture you captured, or a digital art you drew perfect with all the filters, color pallettes or light adjustments you made—but others won't see it the same. Same theory with the Pantone colors, they exist to make sure that the digital color quality is retained on print because every screen is different, all about the RGBs and stuff.
Sorry if this is lengthy, my bad.
My fave mode before is all dark but now I just turn it on around 21:00 but all apps that have dark themes remain dark, it's just that the themes are better optimized on light mode that's why, and as I mentioned above, ECS is on 24/7 unless I'm on creative mode.
