Hi,

First problem.

My Note 8 crashed and I am still trying to get it back up.  Even though I have a new battery 6 months, it now only shows battery % when it is plugged into power.

When I press power the Samsung logo stuff comes up then it stays in the one line 'Samsung'

Sometimes when I hit power again it will show the phone Company logo and maybe even the opening screen, but it soon does and goes back to the first Samsung logo or to dead again, until I do it all over again.

What should I do now?

Second problem.

I have managed to get a lot of apps and data from the Note 8 to the new 22 however not all.  The Note had an SD which has a lot of data on it, but the 22 doesn't.

Where do I put this SD data on the 22 so the apps can access it?

Thank you in anticipation.

oz

Sounds like the note 8 is dead. Hard to say why. Could be non genuine battery causing issues?

At least you can back it up.

Unfortunately not a lot of newer phones have an SD card anymore. As a result the data in the SD card can't be used in a new phone.

In saying that, if the data are just pictures/videos, you can simply transfer them using a computer/laptop (using an SD card adaptor for your micro SD card). You can't transfer app data though.

Might be worth trying using a microSD card reader connected to the S22 via USB C?

Hey @ozstar

To answer your first question. I would suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated by our research and development team. Error reports assist with identifying any deviations in your device performance. Once analyzed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further steps.

To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

As for you second question. I would recommend transferring that data onto a laptop or pc like @ has mentioned in his comment.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
