Allow me to share a series of mini reviews about the changes on my Note 20 Ultra 5G after updating it to One UI 4. I haven't seen everything yet, so I'll post as I go through the list of changes or when I actually discover it. Let's start with one of, if not the most popular update - Color Palette.

I certainly appreciate that Samsung put an effort in customization. However, it only applies to default icons which I don't find very exciting. The way default icons look is too plain for my liking. The only part that I like is the button grid (when you pull down the notification panel) also changes color. At the end of the day, I still prefer searching and downloading icons that suit my current wallpaper.

What did you think of this update?

Yup the Color Palette is, for lack of a better word, subdued. I can't bring myself to utilize it because of that exact reason. 😕

I'm hoping they'll change the default icons' design in the future to entice a lot of users. But marami talaga maganda icon packs in the Galaxy Themes app and dun din ata sa mga gumagamit ng Good Lock/Nice Lock.

Not using the color palette for the same reason also. I am using the themes sa Galaxy Store.

I used to love themes before, but I found out that not all of them are optimized for Dark mode. So, I ended up using wallpapers and icon sets.
