S Pen won't connect; air actions not working

TLDR; Air Actions in my Note 10+ are unusable because my S pen cannot connect... at all. All other functions work (writing and selecting), but it bugs me that Air Actions just won't. Troubleshooting tips don't work.

I have tried all troubleshooting tips for disconnected S pens on the Samsung website, but none seems to work. I've had this problem before, but it usually gets fixed after a quick reset. This time, it won't connect to Air Actions at all. 

I am unsure if it has something to do with the software update. I got mine last Jan 19, but the persistent issue only started nearly 24 hours ago.

Any idea how to get this fixed? S Pen reset doesn't work, too. :(

hi that's my problem too, i just restart my phone then suddenly the S Pen couldn't connect. Is your S pen now connected? what did you do?

hi! unfortunately, my s pen still won't connect, even in safe mode. i plan to visit a samsung store soon to ask for assistance. has your phone been updated to android 11/oneui 3, too?

no, my phone has not been updated yet even the first update.

i see. it's now safe to assume that the problem isn't because of the update. i hope our s pens connect on our phones soon! :( this is really frustrating.

The pen functions still work, which means the wacom digitizer and the pen tip works. I think it's the bluetooth module within the pen that's having issues. It could be software, could be hardware. Have you tried hard resetting your phone?

I have a Note9 and I've got no issues with my Air Actions.

i've read somewhere that this issue might have to do with the bluetooth... thing... you just mentioned, but i still can't find any working solution. i was kinda hoping i wouldn't have to hard reset my phone. it seems i might have to eventually. 😧

i suggest you do so you can rule out software. you can also go to a service center and ask if they have spare S pens to test with your unit. if their spare pen works, it could be that your pen unit already has issues.
