Hi,
I can't login to my Google account because I forgot my password. Usually, if this happens I just follow the troubleshooting for forgot password and I am receiving a text code on my mobile phone linked to my Google account to create a new password and I am good to go.
I backed up the data on my phone and factory reset it but the Google account and Gmail passwords were not stored and I already forgot it. I did the usual step which is clicking on the forgot password option, it asked me to confirm the phone number in my security settings which I did. After I click on next button to proceed, it asked me if I have my phone. Take note that I factory reset my phone and were not able to restore the credentials.
After I clicked on yes button, I got an error message that says "Something went wrong. The sign-in notification couldn't reach your phone. Resend to try again." There are two options: 1. Try another way and 2. Resend. I tried resending it multiple times but I keep on getting the same error message. When I clicked on "Try another way" it led me to a page that says "Get a verification code" and underneath it, the same phone number is showing which is similar to the number I typed to verify my phone on the previous step. I was able to receive a text code but after I put it there is another step that I need to do put the email code sent to my Gmail account which is the same to the Google account that I am trying to access. But stated earlier, even my Gmail account is not logged in since I factory reset my phone.
There is a button that says "Try another way" but when I clicked it, it says that Google needs more info to verify it's me who owns the account. I am not sure if there are other ways I can regain access of my Google account.
