It would be advantageous for Samsung to implement a feature similar to Apple's 3D Touch, which provides exclusive access to features within Meta applications such as Messenger and Instagram. Features such as Peek and Pop, which allows users to preview and interact with content without fully opening the application.

Yes and that's the long press function for. It depends though on the app developer whether they want to use the long press function that's already on android.
Even older iphones without the 3D touch can do peak and pop if the app developer decided to do so.

Did you know you can long press on a notification to make it pop up or start a split-screen screen view?
or swipe down on notification pop-up to open it in a pop-up window?

I'm not saying you're wrong about the advantage of 3D touch. But whether android have it or not, the implementation depends on the app developer. Samsung can promote functionality to devs but it's up to them to take advantage of that functionality - take Note 4 edge panel or the S7 edge screen functions as example. devs didn't take advantage of the feature so curved screen became nothing but aesthetics.

Yes, I am aware of that. I also realized that Telegram actually gave Android devices the peek and pop feature.

Perhaps Samsung could collaborate more with Meta to provide us with such features, no? It's a shame on how only Apple devices can access such exclusive features.

The thing with 3D touch is that it's a hardware feature back then, introduced with the 6s, but was scrapped with 11 going forward and was replaced with Haptic Touch.

Android already has long press options for this without the need of hardware, so this depends if an app developer will implement features like the Peek and Pop to their apps.

Air View (which was introduced in the Galaxy Note 2) is still present now, which is somehow similar, but you'll need the S Pen (though the Galaxy S4 back then supports this by just your finger), and only a handful of Samsung Apps supports it.

Interesting! Never knew that. Then it all depends on how Samsung plans to collaborate with Meta apps to give us access to exclusive features similar to Apple.
