Android 12 : Facebook crashing when i click on any external link

After recent update for Android 12 on Samsung galaxy s21 ultra, I am experiencing many application crashing.

One of which Facebook, when i click any external link, like news or blog.

Any one facing the same?

We're sorry for the experience. Can we trouble you to perform following troubleshooting steps?

Step 1 : Facebook app > settings > media > enable links open externally

Step 2 : Perform “Soft Reset”. Kindly refer to the below steps:
>> Please hold the power button and volume down button simultaneously. While holding both of the buttons, the phone will automatically restart.
>> You can release the buttons once the phone prompt with Samsung logo after the phone already turn on

Please call our Samsung Care Line 1800-726-7864 for Smart Tutor Service if the issue persists. The advantage is, we will be able to assist you with further troubleshooting over the call.

Hi I tried both options without success..I tried above toll free and getting a message number diesnot exist..can you advise any other contact number ?? Thanks Ajay

I tried this and this fixed the external links opening on Facebook. But i cant open external links on instagram. 

Also tiktok keeps crashing after watching videos

Has anyone resolved Facebook crashing when opening external links such as news papers etc. I have tried all the advice on here and more. It's only happened since the Android 12 update and since then it updated again so I thought it would fix it but still nothing. I am getting g so fed up now. I have deleted cache and allsorts, uninstall and reinstalled Facebook. Downloaded the news apps like Wales online etc that won't open to see if they will then open. I am even getting the last page opened on the web browser opening when I download a Hermes label and it opens the last page before I print it. I have a feeling it's something to do with the new tabs that have appeared when browsing. It came up once saying I couldn't have more than 99 tabs open. I only had 2 so no idea what that was about. So frustrated and annoyed with it mow after weeks of problems. Even Internet seems sluggish

its sad to say but i too tried all the options and ways addressed here.
Still facing issue.
its not abut tabs, since i am facing this issue with making Samsung browser as default and same with Chrome as default.
No change in issue behavior.
I think its more of the privacy security things added in Android 12 which one UI is not handling correct. and eventually failing the application.

I even facing the same issue when i search some location in browser and the link is opening in Map then google Map getting crashed. Basically External links opening in other apps.
Its really bad that One UI and Samsung not tested this behavior.

And Paying for Samsung Flagship, U get this kind of **bleep****ty software updates. Frustrating 😡😡

I am having the same problem on my Galaxy S21+ 5G and wanted to get myself on the log. The problem thankfully is not just my phone, happy to know that. The work around above to do the external link is working, so that is a start.

I am facing the same issue for last one week for my S21 Ultra 5G. I already did restart of phone many times, removing cache of FB, uninstall and reinstall FB, removed updates on Android web view..still no change..t..any help really appreciated..
