I used to connect my s20 to my windows computer to run a wireless keyboard and mouse app

This s21 will not connect no matter what I do. It just instantly says "couldnt connect"

My pc and Android both are paired to each other

I can send files between the two but it will not connect

Everything on both devices is FULLY updated. I've reinstalled all drivers

I tried to connect to my wife's windows computer and had same issue so the problem is with the phone

You could look in the Microsoft store or better yet try a version of Linux which will just work. Windows has had Bluetooth issues for years with no fix from them

Just in case, I have occasionally had difficulty pairing because the previous device had failed to unpair. So, here is one extract from a Google search. I have had to do the second option on a couple of occassions including, not surprisingly, a Windows laptop. I recommend further Google searches on resetting.
If your Bluetooth devices won't connect, it's likely because the devices are out of range, or aren't in pairing mode.

If you're having persistent Bluetooth connection problems, try resetting your devices, or having your phone or tablet "forget" the connection.

Oh, and restarting while doing this on both devices. On the Samsung device find the app and clear the cache.

Hi @Ziggzaggz, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

Hi there,
I have exactly the same problem, except using my S10 to connect to my windows 11 computer using a wireless keyboard and mouse app via bluetooth.

I also receive the message "couldnt connect" despite the fact that my pc and S10 both are paired and I can also send files between the two, but it will not connect.

I have tried working through the many troubleshooting guides, uninstalling/reinstalling latest drivers, rebooting in safe mode, removing all other bluetooth devices, clearing Bluetooth cache and data, ensuring services are running and automatically starting, tinkering with the registry...

What is vaguely interesting is that my PC appears twice in the Bluetooth scan, with differing icons (one resembling a monitor and keyboard, one a monitor and mobile device). If I select the former, I receive the message "couldn't connect", if I select the latter icon "An app is needed to use this device".

Any help gratefully received, I am at my wits end.
Migrating to Linux is not an option, regrettably.

Regards,
PK
