I was sitting on the lounge the other night when pulled out my S Pen out of my S22 to use it. I then forgot to put it back after, when I got up to put my daughter to bed. I didn't realise until an hour or two later that I didn't have the S Pen (I think I probably just ignored the "Warn if S Pen is left behind" warning). Under the option to turn the warning of it tells be the last time the S Pen was connected, which seems to line up around the time I last recall using the S Pen. I have searched and searched but I couldn't find it after pulling the lounge apart and retracing my steps through my house. When I still couldn't locate the S Pen the next night I tried using a few different Bluetooth locator apps after I worked out what the MAC address is for my S Pen by going to Settings > Advanced features > S Pen > About S Pen. I'm not sure if these apps can locate the Bluetooth signal from a S Pen. However I suspect the super-capacitor battery would have gone flat by then anyway, hence I couldn't locate the Bluetooth signal while walking all around my house. The only other thing I can think of was to go to Settings > Advanced features > S Pen > Air actions, then press the blue "On" switch to turn it "Off", then press it again to turn it "On" again. I think this attempts to reconnect the phone to the S Pen as I have noticed when I do this, an flashing S Pen icon appears in the status bar. I then tried again to walk around the house in the hope it would connect if I got near enough to the S Pen. However again, this may not work as I suspect the the super-capacitor battery in the S Pen has since gone flat.
Any one have any ideas what else I could try?
I am tearing my hair out as I really can't believe I haven't found the S Pen yet, given I know I lost it within my house.
If you are lucky you can narrow down where you where when you last removed the S Pen by going to "More S Pen Settings" but if you can't locate it, you just have to get a new S Pen.
Turn it off in case battery still working. Only turn on when trying to use features to find it. I have found spectacles hidden in my jumper after taking it off, use local Facebook to see if anyone can lend a metal detector. Is it possible that it has slipped inside on of the couch cushions?
Thanks for your suggestions. I have now turned off the Air actions etc but I reckon the battery in the Pen would be flat now. I've checked all my clothing. I thoroughly searched the couch three times now including pulling out the cushions and checking surrounding areas. I was more wondering if there is a way to detect the location using the phone. Obviously I can't test if anything I have tried above would actually help me find the S Pen. Laura's response above indicates the S Pen cannot be tracked via your phone.
This may not be very helpful so apologies. I know how frustrating this can be. If you are sure it was on the couch try have a look in the laundry as it might have got stuck in your clothes. Failing that perhaps it's in your daughters room or her toys/books.
Sorry this has happened. If you still get stuck perhaps it's easier to purchase a new s pen and if you do find it one day, you now have a spare 😉
