Apps randomly opening when I unlock it

All of a sudden when I unlock my phone instead of being at the home screen,  I am in an opened app I havent been using. I have to close it then open the one I want. I have restarted it and spoken to someone who said to reset the app permissions but that didn't work. Each time it's a different app and it's one that I haven't used recently.

Hi @Kazza68, that's strange. 

Can you try reset your settings and let me know how you go?

Please note that resetting will include resetting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, App permissions, Camera settings, Keyboard preferences and other system settings. 

To reset settings: 

Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Settings

I deleted the apps that seemed to be the ones that kept on opening. Now the screen (screenshot attached) keeps coming up. I did a big update of all apps this morning. I don't do auto updates and there were quite a few. This has happened before a while ago after updating apps through the app store.

Hi @Kazza68, this screen occurs when you tap and hold blank areas of the Home screen for a few seconds. You can exit this by pressing the < button on your navigation bar. :)
