I am using S21 Ultra 5G. I have been encountering battery drain about 6% to 8% at night. I charged my phone till 85% (to protect the battery) at night. When I woke up the battery showed 77%. I did not use the phone whole night but the battery % dropped so much. Since I upgraded to Android 12 and charge the battery to 85%. The battery won't last me a day. Another issue I also observed that the battery % will drop after I disconnect from the charger after a few minutes even though I did not use the phone.

Hi, S21 Ultra user here... Been using Android 12 update Day 1 it's available in Singapore 🇸🇬

1. Regarding dropping of battery 🔋, Did u use AOD which is Always On Display?! If yes, 2% drop per hour is normal if u never use your phone.

2. Battery 🔋% drop after u disconnected from charger is normal for Samsung phone.

Quite normal. My S20FE 5G also battery drain 6 to 8% per night, and is very annoying. I hope Samsung do something to this.

Some apps can also add on to this issue. Disable them if not using. I'm also experiencing same problem. Using of dark theme helps a little bit. Yes AOD does eat in quite an amt of battery life also. Too much of fast charge increases battery % drops also. I'm using S21 Ultra...

Does fast charging damaging to battery?

My answer is yes but u won't feel / sense or notice it nw or near future but long run you'll sense that the battery is drainning faster than nw and u will have to charge more times as fast charging don't reali charge the battery to 100% in actual fact even thou u see that it's already charge full 100% cause battery cell is actual only maybe like 85 to 90% full. Long run battery life span not lasting. If u r not in a rush then use normal charging as and when using fast charging is ok no harm. If yr phone battery left maybe like 20 to 25% u can start charge already using normal charging.

Hold volume down and power at the same time until it reboot and you see the Samsung logo. 2. Back up your data and factory reset. 3. Wait a couple hours/days longer the better. If all fails please go to a Samsung experience store or any Authorized service center.
