Can't Exit Download Mode (S6 Edge +)

This is my old phone which I gave to my dad. Yesterday, he came running to me saying that his phone is broken. When I saw it, I understood right away that it was on download mode. When I press Power + Home + Volume Down, it turns off but goes back to the download mode again. It's a never ending cycle. Is there another way to exit?

For one thing, your device is experiencing a reboot while downloading the latest firmware updates, and until such time as the downloading process is completed, it will not stop automatically and will cease only when battery power is depleted and it goes off. Further, we may never know whether the downloaded updates will be restored or will eventually reboot again.
