Hi All,

As of 2 months ago I am unable to send MMS (ie Pictures or videos) to people with iPhones. Normal text messages work fine.

I can send the sane picture to other Android users. The error message is useless it just says 'Could not send MMS'.

I have the S20 FE 5G (256GB) phone.

I have tried clearing both the cache and data (then reboot of device), reset he network settings (reboot),

reset all settings (reboot of device), cleared out most of my old photos and videos, turned off Developer Options,

uninstalled apps that i had installed prior to the issue, double checking and reseting the APNs to default.

What I haven't tried is a factory reset or contacting TPG (servive provider)

Is there anyway to view logs or trace the MMS activity to find out what the issue is. I really don't want to factory reset the phone and restore from backup

only to have the same issue.

thanks

Jim

I think Googling might help but not sure as apparently Apple is being obliged to change over to the new format. If you haven't tried already, try Google Messages.Note keepp the old app so you can search old messages. Samsung allows two message apps.

Android to Android uses RCS (data based - independant from MMS). Android to iPhone and vice versa uses MMS protocol from the carrier, check with your carrier if MMS services are enabled, some ISP carriers in Australia only offer calls/SMS/Data and don't actually offer MMS. Also check with TPG what MMS settings are required and compare to your APNs on your phone (settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names) if they do include MMS on your plan

Yeah sounds like a carrier or settings issue I send photos to iPhone user's all the time and use google meet to call them.
I also ditched the rcs chat as it was telling me all the time that messages were undeliverable and the person was off-line even as they were sitting on the couch next to me waiting for the message.
I'm with telstra

I had the opposite issue a while ago, iPhone MMS to Android. It ended up being a carrier issue, so please do speak to your carrier
