Cant verify Google account after reset

I upgraded my s21+ to a s24+. I did smart switch from old to new and then did factory reset on my phone.

Wanted to give it to my son to use but now we keep getting stuck in the dreadful loop at start up trying to verify my google account, although I believe I'm entering my details correctly even using new phone to access it and I'm unable too. 

Has anyone been able to get around this?

try to access your google account using a pc

Try recovering your accoutn
