Edge Panels and Dark Mode Control in Settings->Display are greyed out.
Edge Panels are disabled - really need them back as I use them all the time.
Samsung Keyboard is locked in Dark Mode despite a Light Mode being selected.
I have tried:
 - restarting (many times)
 - cleared cache of Edge Panel app
 - checking software updates (all up to date)
 - soft reset (many times)
 - restarted in recovery mode and cleared cache
 -->> no effect

Power Saving Mode is disabled

Factory Resrt is not an option.

Please help

I stumbled upon this fix after soooo many hours spent trying to search for a solution and almost almost giving up and going for factory reset. In settings, choose default launcher and choose "Launcher". This switched my phone to Ultra Power Saving mode which I turned off using the 3 dots on the upper right. This enabled my dark mode settings and I finally got my Edge Panels back! I'm so happy I wanna cry! Hope this helps others who are still searching for a fix!

After hours of experiments, I created a new mode with power saving off in "modes and routines" and launched it and when I turned it off I got my edge panels back.

Hope this helps!
