This is my feedback for the screen replacement process for my Fold 3. To start, it was excellent. 

I noticed a dead pixel on the larger screen of my Fold 3. Looked up the interwebs for the closest service agent here in Adelaide and was given the contact details of Tecworks. I booked an assessment on their website and uploaded all the proof of purchase info.

I brought my phone in on 4/3 and was told they haven't received the case from their head office but can slot me in for a device assessment while they wait for the case to be sent over manually. Got my phone back a few hours later and was told parts needed to be ordered in about 10 business days.

Said parts magically arrived over the weekend as I got an SMS on 7/3 notifying me to bring my phone in. Went in the next day and had the screen replaced in 3 hours. They also replaced the battery while they were at it. And for some reason, I also got a new hinge as mine had it's sticker peeled off. If not for the small mark on the front screen, I would've sworn I got a new phone 😅

Overall, excellent service by Tecworks and Samsung support for pointing me in the right direction.

You're so lucky you got yours sorted.
Wow, this is the first time I’ve been really disappointed that I chose a Samsung product.
I’m an absolute Samsung fanatic, have Samsung everything, .. washing machine, phones, watches, tablets, TV’s, projectors you name it, but I chose the Z-fold 3 phoned and now I have a bubble forming under the screen protector & they want to send the phone away for 3 to 5 days & wipe all my data and yet, if I get it repaired elsewhere they’ll void my warranty! REALLY not happy! This marks the end of an era for me and Samsung!

Hi Kinch,

I don't get why your data needs to be wiped as yours will likely be a screen replacement (like mine) and my data was kept. From my understanding, there is a disclaimer that your data might be wiped and this is what we tell customers (I work in retail). Did they tell you that it will 100% be wiped or just a disclaimer as I said earlier?
