What is this file? For S Pens? But my device does not support S Pens. Is my device compromised? Please help, I am very anxious.

The striped spensdk30 file is a system file, safely bundled with all S24 models (even those without S Pen support). You can hide these by turning off "Show hidden files" in the My Files app settings

For additional peace of mind, run an app scan for malware (tip 1 in this post: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-gallery/️-safety-space-speed-one-ui-quick-wins/td-p/34403977?src=ShareByUserCM)1753955976888.jpg

Its in internal storage. Its Icon is similar to most integrated sytstems (file folder faded with stripes) so it seems its a samsung feature? But galaxy s24 does not use s pens. Huh?

On doing research, this appears as part of an app named clean master

I dont know what that app is, nor downloaded any apps. But the spendsk seems like a system file. Its also in a community post back in 2024 and part of Samsung Developer " S Pens Remote SDK

I panicked and deleted it 😭 (because it only appeared /got downloaded today) i didnt even know I had "show hidden files active". Will it affect my phone's performance in anyway? I feel very bad now. What do I do.

Also I have Google Play Protect and the Knox Matrix saying there's no problem / "no threats found" on security status of my device, but I wonder if I can be assured with them?

You'll be alright 😅 no worries - not needed for the everyday person (I believe)

If it was important tho, the next system update will likely load it in again 👍

Thank you so much 😭🙏 also, is the McAfee app protection necessary? Or is google play protect and knox matrix device status enought to scan for malware?

Default / Stock is sufficient - but certainly dosen't hurt to have extras 🙏
