Galaxy SSince updating my Samsung Galaxy S24+ to UI 7, using my phone has become frustrating and inefficient.
First, the Contacts app – who thought it was a good idea to put recently added contacts at the top of the list? I want to see my Favourites first, not random numbers I don’t care about. I looked everywhere in the Contacts settings and found no option to change this.
Second, the lock screen camera shortcut is now unreliable. If I don’t swipe in the exact way the phone expects, it asks me to unlock the screen instead of opening the camera. Usually I get it on the second try, which just shows how unpredictable and sensitive the gestures have become.
Same issue with swiping from the top corners – it’s confusing and inconsistent. I still can’t figure out the logic behind what comes from where. Honestly, this update feels like a step backwards.
It seems like Samsung expects users to go through a whole training course just to understand the changes. I don’t have time for that. I don’t want the core functions I’ve relied on for years to be suddenly replaced or rearranged without my consent.
This update is not helpful – it’s annoying and time-wasting. I just want the previous version back.
Is it an official Samsung channel to send them my review?

Galaxy SFirst of all don't stress, Oneui7 is a big change in how the phone looks. I suppose it's to ensure things are not stale; imagine if we are still using the good old Touchwiz!
The good news is, things can be changed and even be better.
For your first issue, you can simply change a setting so you don't see the 'frequently contacted' people. See the attached image. Go to your phone/contacts app, then tap the menu/settings (the 3 dots at the top right).
For the second issue, i actually dont even use those little shortcut for the camera! There's actually a setting that allows you to simply double tap the power button and you can access the camera that way. Have a peek at the 2nd image!
And for the third issue, easy fix. Unlike other manufacturers, Samsung allows you to revert back to the old way (after the update, the phone tells you how to do this, but i get it sometimes people are too excited to use the phone). Check the 3rd pic!
Hope that helps! 😊
