Galaxy S
Hello Everyone,
Writing to seek advice on Green/White screen issue on Galaxy S20 Ultra.
My S20 Ultra got green screen today, 21st Jan 2025. Although this seems to be a common problem with many S20 or S series owners, there is no official solution from Samsung yet.
It is so disappointing that a flagship product which costs almost similar to a laptop could not even last for 2 years.
I went to service center only to receive the standard response that the phone is out of warranty and need to pay $400 to replace the screen.
Btw, this is the 2nd time I have got the same green screen issue on the same mobile handset. Unlucky or just Samsung's way of forcing people to buy the new S25 which is releasing in next few days.
I hope this Green / White screen is not some elaborate scam run by Samsung, which would be a shame to the entire industry.

Thanks Nantakkumar! I did get a call from Samsung. I am posting it here for the community to know about it.
The response from the agent on the call was the same as the service center guys. "We have to abide by Terms & Conditions. Since phone is out of warranty, you will have to pay for the repair".
I think by now everyone knows that for out of warranty a customer has to pay for repair. What baffles me is that since this GREEN screen is a worldwide issue, why is Samsung not providing a resolution? Being a big brand and a flagship product, they should have some decency to support customers. There are numerous examples where a company recognizes a fault in their product and helps the customer. For example: If a car manufacturer has understood that there is an issue in one of the car model, they would recall and repair it for the car owners without charging them.
Please own the issue Samsung before it goes out of control.
