Galaxy S22 Delayed Notifications [SOLVED]

I just upgraded from my 4-year old Galaxy Note 8 to Galaxy S22 and this is my second day of using the S22. I have setup all my apps but I noticed that my notifications are extremely delayed by 30 mins to even hours. I am only receiving instant notifications whenever I receive a message on the Google Messages app or the Facebook Messenger app. However, notifications on all the other apps are delayed, including Gmail, Instagram, Twitter, Yahoo Mail, and even the react notifications from Facebook Messenger are getting delayed.

I looked around for fixes and I have already done the following to no avail:

  1. Disabled Adaptive Battery setting

  2. Disabled Put unused apps to sleep

  3. Disabled Power Saving

  4. Set individual app's battery usage to Unrestricted

  5. Disabled doze via adb (adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable)

  6. Added individual app packages to deviceidle whitelist (adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +PACKAGE_NAME)

Even with the above workaround, I am still getting delayed notifications.

I have not had the problem on the first hour of using the phone. I also did a factory reset and the notifications were coming in instantly on the same first hour or so until they all get delayed.

Another issue is that app downloads or updates from Google Play Store is being terminated/pauses and won't complete at all. Clearing cache is not working. When this happens, notifications are also getting delayed.

Any leads for fixes? I never had this issue on my old Galaxy Note 8.

Edit: Issue is caused by an old LTE SIM which seems to be incompatible with the phone. Replace the SIM to avoid issues. Follow below thread for more details:

Are you in power save mode?

No. I've already disabled power/battery-related settings that could affect the notifs but still no luck. I also notice that some of the notifs are repeating but still delayed.

Hello goodboyjoe,

Please bring your device to a Samsung Experience Store near you so they can diagnose the problem properly. storelocator (samsung.com)

Thank you!

I went to a Samsung Experience store yesterday but they weren't able to help. I was just advised to file a ticket online since this was ordered via Samsung online.

Same issue on a s22 ultra.   Also any music apps also stop playing after a few minutes after the screen is off.   Tried multiple music apps and the same problem.   It's almost like the data shuts off.   Upon waking the phone up it picks up where it left off.

I have tried everything that the op has as well as disabling always on screen widgets.

My note 8 did not have this issue.   My suspect is a battery saving feature of sine kind,  but disabling battery saving functions doesn't work.

Please help this is super annoying.

Probably a different issue. You may need to check with you carrier.

i thought i was the only one. just like you, upgraded from a note 8 to the s22 ultra. i get delayed notifications too. when setting up the phone, everything was fine at first. a few weeks in using it, notifications delayed or won't even get notified. it's until i open the app itself & that is when i realize i have notifications. now i have to check the apps from time to time to see if anything comes in.  i don't know what's going on either. any help, tips, advice? thanks.
