Galaxy S22+ Pink Vertical Line

Yesterday I was doing normal stuff I do using my phone, lo and behold I could see a thin pink vertical line on the right side of the screen. I thought it was just a glitch or something because I never dropped my phone. I did all troubleshooting steps suggested online hoping that a miracle will fix it, but nope.

I searched even further and I saw a lot of posts from other people experiencing the same thing I am. Surprisingly most post are recent but it appears that it isn't being addressed by Samsung. 

I am super disappointed as this is my first flagship device and it didn't even last me 2 years. I was hoping to get years of use but nope my A71 outlasted my s22+.

I was planning to get a flip but I don't know if I can still trust this brand. I am not rich so I will still check how much the repairs would cost but part of me fears that this will be a recurring issue.

If anyone else is experiencing this and had reached out or visited their repair center. What did they say? How much did it cost you to fix the screen?

That was after the GUI update right?

I had this on my Note 20 Ultra 5G but after the next update it disappeared. It could be a software or hardware issue.

Omg same. I slept and woke up with the same pink vertical line on my left area of my screen. Huhu .

Hey I just got it today on my s22+. Did you manage to get it repaired on yours? Not sure what to do with this since its out of warranty. Any help would be appreciated

No. I couldn't be away from my phone for 7 days, as the repair required me to leave it in store. I had to learn how to live with it.

Just started to appear. After a restart it went away. Then it came back. Frustrating 😡

I have the same problem. I visited a service center, they gave me a quotation for LCD replacement. It costs around 16,000 pesos. Becuse the device is out of warranty they decided to not even offer any compensation or solution as this was brought about their software update.

I don't think I will have it repaired. I might exchange it for a different unit and add cash to it. As of today, another pink line has appeared since I posted this.
