Galaxy SAfter the One UI 7 update in Australia my S23 ultra is now reporting that Google Play will not run unless I update Google Play Services. There are no outstanding updates in Google Play. And I still receive and get updates from Google Play. Just every single time I start it I get the notification that it will not run. If I go
Apps->google Play Store->App details in store
I get an error message that some thing went wrong and to try again.
If I start google play store ->settings->about->update google Play store it says it is up to date.
I've tried both on wifi and on 5g and the same result. The application itself is still getting updates and running. I've tried clearing the device cache and restarting the phone and it remains the same.
Similarly a number of application can no longer reach the internet after the phone is idle for a number of hours and requires toggliong the wifi off/on to get those to function again. All this just from UI7 updates. Anyone have an idea as to how to get google play services to work again post UI7? Worst upgrade i have experienced with Samsung hours spent trying to get things reconfigured and finding out configurations have been removed, applications not working and failing and needing to be reinstalled and now this item as well. Seems never ending. I'd appreciate if anyone has any idea please.
Have restarted phone
Cleared Google Play Services Cache
Have deleted Google Play Services Data
Cleared Google Play Store Cache
Have dleted Google Play Store Data
Cleared device cache....
And we are still there with notifications google play can't be started.
Do I need to do a factory reset because of teh One UI7 update.....

Like mentioned above, we would recommend that you do an update on the Google Play system instead of the Google Play store.
This can be done through:
Settings >About phone >Software Information >Google Play system update
If the issue still persists after the Google Play system update, please send us an Error Report via Samsung Members and our Technical Team will be able to investigate the issue and help provide some further support for you. Below is a link with steps on raising an Error Report.

Galaxy SI ended up having to wipe the devices cache twice and then google play store magically started working again. However, now 2 weeks after getting OneUI7 my phone is just black. It had 50% charge 2 hours previously. Then it just went black. Will not charge, will not accept a forced reset, or soft. It is just dead. A coincidence? I think not. It has an appointment with a samsung store now. But is it coincidence when 1 month out of warranty for a expensive device. Guess it is probably time to look for alternatives to Samsung.
