Highlight option no longer available since upgrade to android 14

Dear Samsung Team,

I am writing to you today to express my concern about the missing feature "Highlight" button in the Gallery app on the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra devices. The feature in question allows users to select multiple photos and videos and automatically generate an animated video with adjustable length. This feature was present in the S23 Ultra when it was first released but was removed with the One UI 6.0 update in November. It is also missing from the new S24 Ultra.

As an S23 Ultra user who recently upgraded to the S24 Ultra, I am disappointed that this feature is no longer available. I used it frequently to quickly and easily create animated stories. The absence of this feature is particularly concerning given that the S24 Ultra boasts an improved AI. It seems counterintuitive that a feature that was present in the previous model with less advanced AI capabilities would be removed in the newer model with more advanced AI capabilities.

I kindly request that Samsung reconsider the removal of this feature and reinstate it in a future software update. It is a valuable tool for users who want to create engaging content without spending a lot of time editing.

In addition, I have attached a video that was automatically generated using that Highlight feature that was previously available on the S23 Ultra I think under One Ui 5.1 tgat was removed on One UI 6.0.

I totally agree with this. 

This is so frustrating to be proud about "AI" yet you removed one of the advance feature of video/photo editing.

I also used this feature alot and disappointed it has been removed and is no longer available or been included in a recent update

never been added since then. I am already in in the latest update for sept. 2024 that has alot of new AI related features, and yet they havent bothered to bring back this feature.

Same I updated thr other day and I have been waiting for them to bring it back,  I used it almost on a daily basis and was annoyed when it was removed and changed to create movie , which was already an option  along with the gif creator which was already there.  

Disappointing they removed a feature that was unique to Samsung too as it wasn't available on apple

agreed. they replace it with a movie option which *** and ive never used it unlike the highlights feature really which also allows you to dynamically adjust the lentgth of the resulting video while still matching the tempo and what photos or videos to show.

I totally agree with you. Removing the Highlights is a bi disappointment for me.

Creating a full length movie is not an alternative.

Hope they add it back

I absolutely positively miss the highlight reel feature! It was my favorite part of S23 and I haven't made a highlight reel since it was removed.  Just have a bunch of videos waiting for an update bringing this feature back and I keep getting disappointed.

To be clear, it's a pure software update issue, not specific to the devices mentioned. I have S22 and I came here after days of searching the web trying to figure out how did I create my previous highlights. Then I asked my self "could this have been a removed feature?" because there was no sense whatsoever for that to happen.

To my surprise. One of the best features is now gone. 

The simplest use for it was when you record a video with your camera and want to simply skim it with AI hilights. 

Worked like a charm. 

Please bring it back.
