🔧 *How to Block Ads Using Private DNS on Android (Android 12+)*
1. *Open Settings*
- Swipe down from the top and tap the *gear icon*, or open *Settings* from your app drawer.
2. *Go to “Connections”*
- Tap *Connections*.
3. *Select “More Connection Settings”*
- Scroll down and tap *More connection settings*.
4. *Tap “Private DNS”*
- You’ll see three options:
- *Off*
- *Automatic*
- *Private DNS provider hostname*
5. *Choose “Private DNS provider hostname”*
- Enter one of these ad-blocking DNS hostnames:
*AdGuard DNS (ad & tracker blocking):*
- `dns.adguard.com`
*AdGuard Family Protection (ads + adult content):*
- `dns-family.adguard.com`
*ControlD:
- `p2.freedns.controld.com`
*Hagezi Pro:
-`x-hagezi-pro.freedns.controld.com`
*Oisd:
-`x-oisd.freedns.controld.com`
6. *Save and Exit*
- Tap *Save* or press back. Done!

✅ *What It Blocks:*
- Ads in most browsers (Chrome, Samsung Internet).
- Many in-app ads (if loaded via DNS).
- Trackers and malicious domains.

⚠️ *Notes:*
- Some in-app ads may still show (if hardcoded).
- If you enter the wrong DNS, your internet may stop working—double-check the address.
