Galaxy SSamsung Cloud will take care of your contacts, settings, messages, apps, call logs etc. but not your photos and files.
Factory Reset can be done in Settings - General Management - Reset - Factory Data Reset.

Galaxy SApps will be backup by your Google Account, so sync them too before resetting. Just remember that you'll start fresh with your apps again, it will just install them, but saved data isn't.

Galaxy SResearch first if Factory reset is really the answer before proceeding. "It could solve the problem."or "It will solve the problem." ?

Galaxy SLook, if you see people here encountering the same problems, then chances are it's not an isolated incident. So more or less, it ain't an error in your part. The problem lies in apps that aren't optimized for the new OS (which is completely normal.). No amount of resets can fix that. Factory reset is suppose to be a last resort not an all around remedy.
