Hi Samsung community,

I just want to get the most of my s10 audio capability. I read in some sites that S10 supports aptx and LDAC and yes,I saw the list in developer options. However, when I try to switch SBC to APTX or LDAC it reverts to AAC.

Anybody have a solution for this. Considering s10 is a premium flagship phone I assume there is a way to make use of all its features.

Thanks.

Problem: In the Developers mode the LDAC was greyed out in my Samsung S10+. And when going into the Bluetooth settings for my Sony XM4's the LDAC option was not visible/enable.

Solution - Go into the Sony application(Headphones) --> Sound-->Bluetooth COnnection Quality-->Select - Priority On Sound Quality.

After selecting this option the LDAC was enabled in both the Developers option and in Bluetooth settings for the headphones.

Have you try checking the Developer Options?

Already tried. You can select the option but upon closing dev options it reverts to AAC

LDAC Works, you just need a Bluetooth device that supports LDAC.

I used BTR3K Bluetooth DAC and LDAC works.

Hi, I think it reverts back if the feature that you choose is not supported by the device (bluetooth headset) that is connected. I tried with my Galaxy Buds and I can only choose three; SBC, AAC and Scalable Codecs which I believe what is supported. If I select aptX or LDAC it reverts back. This is just my observation.

This is probably due to the fact that Exynos chips are really limited for Aptx. For more clarity, try watching this vid on Snapdragon vs Exynos:

S10 exynos does support LDAC. I bought a bluetooth DAC (FiiO BTR3K) with LDAC support. Upon connecting this via bluetooth LDAC worked on my S10. You need a bluetooth device that supports LDAC in order to use LDAC of S10

For reference of everyone. LDAC and AptX is supported you just need to find a device that supports these then our s10 should have no problem.

I have:
Phone: Galaxy S10 + exynos
Sony WF-1000XM4B In-Ear Headphones
The phone uses the BT LDAC codec

After connecting the headphones, go to the BT menu, where it indicates the headphones, enter their settings, and there activate LDAC.

For more settings, such as sampling rate or audio bits, enter developer mode and, with the headphones connected, choose what you want.

I think this solution is also valid for other Samsung phones and other in-ear headset models.
However, there must be compatibility between the two devices in terms of the BT codec used

Galaxy S10 + exynos has the aptx BT codec, but only works with a pair of in-ear headphones that has the same BT Codec

OMG thaaaanks, i was having some problems but with the "After connecting the headphones, go to the BT menu, where it indicates the headphones, enter their settings, and there activate LDAC." part, you saved meee.
