I have this issue since I bought this phone. The wifi connectivity is very inconsistent and sometimes it will disconnect to the wifi network completely while my other non-samsung phone (android phone) is still connected to the same wifi network. This also applies to my Samsung Tab S8 Ultra where it has inconsistent wifi connectivity.
Another annoying thing is that even if it is connected, it sometimes indicate that I don't have internet (having an exclamation mark on the wifi connected indicator) while my other android phone (non-samsung) is still connected and has internet.
I don't know if it's a hardware issue but I'm talking about my other android phone which is non-samsung and was released almost 4 years ago but it has better wifi reception.
If it is a software issue or it can be fix through OTA update, I think samsung should issue it as soon as possible since having to be disconnected to my wifi network everyday is so annoying.
I've been using my s23 ultra for 6 months now and the issue is present since the time I bought it. This is a brand new unit so I don't think that it has hardware defect since my Tab S8 Ultra has similar inconsistent wifi connectivity.
I used to have this issue on all my Samsung devices (3 phones and 2 tablets) versus my other non-Samsung gadgets. What I did was I adjusted the settings of my modem and also added a mesh network (also adjusting it's settings). That resolved the issue, at least for me.
