Keys Cafe Keyboard Theme Not Working in Dark Mode

Hi everyone,

I've encountered a couple of issues with Keys Cafe when using dark mode on my phone. The keyboard theme I set up in the app doesn't seem to apply correctly; instead, it defaults to a basic dark theme. Additionally, the custom keyboard sounds I selected aren't taking effect.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, have you found any solutions or workarounds?

Here are some details about my setup:

- Device model: Galaxy S24

- OS version: Android 14

- Keys Cafe version: 1.6.01.10

I've tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app, but the problem persists. The custom keyboard theme works fine in light mode, but I prefer to use my phone in dark mode.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ozri! You may try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Update: Ensure both the OS and Keys Cafe are up to date
2. Clear cache/data: Go to Settings > Apps > Keys Cafe > Storage, and clear cache and data
3. Reconfigure: Set up the custom themes and sounds again after clearing data
4. Permissions: Ensure all necessary permissions are granted
5. Check for interference: Disable other custom themes or keyboard apps.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've followed all the steps—updated everything, cleared the cache and data, reconfigured my settings, granted all permissions, and even disabled other custom themes and keyboard apps.

Unfortunately, it's still not working. Any other ideas?

 Apply your theme while Dark Mode is on then reapply the theme again. Here's mine working fine in Dark Mode.

Try changing your colour pallete in settings based on your wallpaper, and then applying the theme on keys cafe.
