Maxis 5G on S22 Ultra

Hey! Just noticed my connection suddenly went from 4G+ to 5G at Johor Iskandar Puteri! I guess maxis is testing it. Attached here speed test

Wow, nice. You are using normal Sim card or esim?
KL area I don't think have 5G, I using normal Sim and just switch the connection to 5G/LTE/4G/3G

But, still detect as 4G+

Normal simcard. I just came here for a 2 days meeting, later going back KL. was surprised it suddenly went to 5G. Was still 4G+ yesterday at this area.

Hopefully, we will get 5G as earliest, I'm eagerly to use/experience it .. hahaha 😆

Looking at the speed, it's not on mmwave.. but it's still faster than what we are currently getting on 4G..

Yeah, it seems to be not the expected 5G speed, but more faster than 4G speed.

Noticed it last week around ara damansara area. But just for few seconds. Probably it's in the midst of testing phase.

Sadly, checking the coverage map on DNB website, my house is in one of the areas where there is a hole in the coverage area.. 500m to any direction and I'll get 5G reception at my house.

But hor... my wife is getting 5G at home on her celcom....

I got SMS from Maxis on 5G. Lol.

I guess very soon Maxis users can use it.
