Messages Number not showing

All my notifications and AppBadge are on but still not seeing little number against Messages as they come in. Please help. Thankyou.

Did you actually select to show number?

Press and hold on an empty part of the home screen, then select settings.

Scroll down to "App icon badges" then select that and you can choose between a Dot or Number.

No I didn't. But I've just updated my S10 and it seems to have fixed it!! I wonder if they can allow glitches like that so you do the updates sooner? Just a thought. Thank you for your help. I'm keeping your note in case it happen again some time in the future.

this happens to my messages sometimes and all i do is restart my phone and everything is fine
