Mic not working with Usb-c to aux dongle

Hello everyone, I recently bought a galaxy s22 ultra, never owned a samsung before. When I plug my samnsung into my car stereo with my usb-c to aux dongle people cant hear me talk. I can hear them but they can't hear me, But my google phone worked. I went out and bought a samsung dongle and it still don't work. It's painfull cause I don't have Bluetooth available in my car. Can anyone help me and tell me if there is a fix

I have had a similar problem with my Samsung phone. Somehow I fixed it without knowing how. I had a temporary fix by clicking on the speaker option, bottom left of dialling buttons. Hope this helps in the short term.

That's the problem with usb c dongle, I've had similar compatibility issues. Try a Samsung made dongle.

Yes, I've heard this from others as well, doesn't matter what brand the dongle is unfortunately.

Hi @michaelw1990, does your microphone work in other scenarios e.g during regular calls?

I suggest doing a diagnostic test of your microphone from the Samsung Members app:

Open Samsung Members > Get Help > Diagnostics > View test > Microphone

If the diagnostic does not show any issues with the microphone, 

 I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further. 

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

My microphone works on speaker phone and other scenarios, it just doesn't work when I plug in my usbc - aux dongle, even my samsung dongle doesn't work. When I plug my phone into my car stereo via my aux dongle people cant hear me when I make calls, I can hear them but they can't hear me, so that tells me the mic isn't working when my dongle is plugged in

I'm having the same issue . I can't believe no one else has a solution to this.

Its very painfull and annoying, I payed 2000 dollars for the top samsung phone and it can't do a basic function and that there's no solution is even worse. I had to buy a fm transmitter to be able to make calls but I shouldn't have to if I have the latest and greatest 2000 dollar phone
