Hi all,

I recently bought a new Galaxy S23+ and have been using a pair of Sennheiser headphones to listen to music and audio from my phone. I have used several USB-C-to-audio adapters to connect my headphones to the phone. While audio is properly translated through the adapters, the functionality of the microphone with the adapters is completely absent. As I said, I have used several different adapters and I have also tried it with another pair of Sony headphones that I also own to no avail.

What is happening? Is there some setting or configuration of the phone I need to activate for the microphone to function properly with the adapter?

I would appreciate any help or knowledge that you can share.

Thomas

Could be the USB C, some headphones won't work the same. I don't think it's the phone or the headphone, I had the same issue with pixel earphones on Samsung.

I have used two different adapters though and neither of them allow the mic on my headphones to work properly. The only common denominator is the phone.

Try enabling the "Use Bluetooth...."

Go to voice recorder (or go download it, it's an official Samsung app). Then go to the Settings and find the above. 1707971642213.jpg

Enable the "Use Bluetooth" option?
