Galaxy SHi
In the last two weeks, since Jan's security update, my S22 Ultra 5G is presenting a very poor mobile reception. It constantly swaps between 5G and 4G. During the swap, the device loses the internet connection. In the past, my solution is to change the network setting to 4G but now, the device is even unable to stay at 4G for most of the time. It drops to 3G or H straight away.
I've tried everything I can, including all types of resetting, but the problem persists. I tried to use another sim card which works perfectly on a different device, but the problem remains the same. So I highly suspect this is nothing related to the Vodafone network.
Hope I can get a solution from here, rather than bringing the device to a service
PS:
Please do not ask me to do any reset or whatsoever, I've done it many times, NOT working!!!

Galaxy SHas anyone had any luck with this issue? My phone has been doing this since March and is useless outside of using on WiFi. I've sent it back to the Service centre TWICE now and they are telling me to do it a third time as I'm demanding a replacement. Yet they 'can't replicate the issue with the test SIM' yet every SIM I've tried in this phone it happens with. Not to mention the service centre sent my phone back to the wrong address then told me that I requested it be sent to some random address in the ACT (I'm in NSW). I have a very useless phone and Samsung seem to know this is an issue yet do nothing about it and just tell us to do the same things over and over...
I've reset my phone to factory,
Replaced the SIM with a new one
Tried multiple other SIMs in the device
Tried all the troubleshooting I can find online
Contacted my Service provider
and the issue still occurs.
The issue doesn't occur in any other device I insert my SIM into. It is a phone issue, yet Samsung are denying the issue exists. I'm sick of paying for my phone to be sent back as the closest Service centre for me to walk into is over six hours away...

Galaxy SHi Kathleen
Has your problem been resolved?
I have the same issue with S22 Ultra where the mobile does not work on a poor mobile network. I have installed the cell network info app and shows around 50 folds the number of bad signals compared to other handsets on the same mobile network.

Galaxy SDo you have any updates or what happened to get this resolved @KathleenD?
After experiencing the same issues for many months and doing a factory rest, all the updates, reset the network settings, changing the network mode and all other trouble shooting guides nothing has changed.
I am having the exact same issue and have taken my S22 Plus to the Samsung Service Centre twice. They've been unable to replicate the fault and have said it is probably the service provider using different frequencies. However the exact same sim card works perfectly in another device and escalating the issue with the provider hasn't worked, because the sim card works in every other device.
I've raised an error report in Samsung Members Plus and after going through the logs and back and forth with them, their research and development team have advised:
"After log analysis, it is suspected to be the result of a hardware defect, but it is difficult to confirm with only software log analysis. Please guide user to service centre for hardware assessment to confirm the issue."
I am at a loss on what to do now - Samsung have previously said it's not a hardware issue, the network provider is saying it's not a them issue. Do I have to buy a new phone (probably an iPhone after this debacle to be honest) AND a new sim / change service provider?
I'm just after some ideas on what has worked for others in the same situation.

Galaxy SI've tried all trouble shooting, reset the phone, used different SIMs from different networks, yet it persists. My SIM works fine in all other devices. I've sent it back twice and the service centre says there isn't anything wrong with it. I somehow managed to get my phone back despite the service centre sending it to some random address in the ACT (I'm in NSW) then blamed me and said I requested it be sent there.

Galaxy SI have 5g and I can't even connect to mobile data. I always need to turn off and turn on the airplaine mode like 10x or more a day.

Galaxy SI know this is an older thread regarding 5G connectivity issues but I wanted to post that after the same issue that I corrected it but replacement of the 5G connection cable and USB board. I also wanted to say that while I ordered new 5G antenna I didn't have a chance to replace them but now don't think it would have helped. So for less that $15 USD it's work flawless now. If you read this I also recommend purchasing and replacing the battery. As long as you are able to remove the battery cover the rest is fairly simple and straight forward, just take your time and all will work as it should. Good luck.
