Hello,

I wanted to share my network to my laptop with my S20FE. It seems to be working, my laptop saying it is connected as usual but when I try to access anything online it says "www.speedtest.net's DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem.". My laptop never does this with classic WiFi so I think it comes from my phone.

Thanks for taking the time to help me!

Hi,check the setting of your phone hotspot and as test set it at 2.4ghz which is slower but more common connection but this will use your data but at least will show if the phone doesn't work then try to put your phone on your home wifi and connect phone and pc through bluetooth(it could be a very slow connection). Then on settings hotspot and tethering after you connected your phone with a usb data cable to the computer activate USB tethering and it should work. Make sure all driver of your phone are installed

It's a good first step to make sure you have the Wi-Fi disabled on the phone before you enable the access point.
And if you have to use Bluetooth with a personal area network in my opinion it's not that much different it has its pros and cons.
But if we look at what your error message says it's just a DNS error are you sure you got the DNS servers in on the network adaptor?
Try using 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 As your DNS
